The sweetness and light of childhood innocence gives hope for the future. Youth and beauty, pastel coloured cuteness. But children hold more complexity than that. Children have more of an understanding of the world outside them-selves than often thought and there is a much greater complexity of feeling behind those sweet little faces.

Children feel passion and fear and anger just as strongly as the adults around them, and normally without the same expertise at holding back or holding the feeling inside. They get in fights and they get grumpy, they can be manipulative through their emotions and they can get to breaking point just like adults.
